Do I still have to pay my final balance on the 8 week deadline

Yes in essence, we will always give you a few days or a week of flexibility if you are waiting for payday or collecting funds from multiple people but as we have to make payments upfront for the ongoing planning of your holiday we will require the balance to be paid on it's due date. You can however be assured that if you holiday can not go ahead as planned of we can not operate you will receive a full refund from our Travel Vault policy or take the option of a date change to any destination in the current or next year.

How will I know if my travel plans are going to be affected?

We are constantly monitoring the UK’s Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), and are in constant communications with ABTA and the local health authorities at our destinations. We will respond to any advice by FCO (or foreign government agencies) against non-essential travel to your destination. We will contact you as soon as it is clear that we won’t be able to operate your holiday. However, the unpredictable nature of Coronavirus may mean that decisions about cancelling or changing your holiday may take place just a few days before your departure.

Premiums are slightly higher for your MTB Holiday but reasonable.

New for 2021 and the future whilst we are dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic you can now cancel your trip up to 42 days before you travel and only be liable to lose your deposit payment of 30%. (Normally 60%) After 42 days we revert to our standard Booking Terms and Conditions

Will I be covered by my travel insurance if I decide to cancel?

Usually, your travel insurance will only cover you if your trip was planned for an area where there is no FCO advice against travel. We are seeing a move in the insurance industry to honor policies that the FCO now advise against travel to also, you will have to confirm with them. We would advise you check with your travel insurance provider as there may be exceptions for other instances, such as if you are concerned about a serious underlying medical condition.

Should I book holiday insurance?

Yes. Take out holiday insurance to cover trip cancellations and to protect your deposit and full balance if you decide to cancel of if restriction are put in place which mean you can not travel.

What if my insurance company will not cover me

If your insurance company will not cover your claim please contact us. If your area has been put into a local lock down, you have Coronavirus symptoms or a positive test then we will amend your booking for free up to 7 days before departure

Will my money still be protected, even though I am paying it in the knowledge that Covid may disrupt my trip?

Yes, your money is completely safe. It is insured with Travel Vault, who are obliged by the CMA (Competition & Markets Authority) to cover these funds. As soon as you pay any monies to MTB Beds for a holiday, an insurance policy is taken out on it which is protected by industry rules. The policy protects your money in the event of MTB Beds becoming insolvent and is not related to holiday insurance in any way. This means you can trust that any money paid that maybe paid for a booked trip, or differed to a future trip will be 100% safe.

What will my holiday experience be like in resort

We have been operating our Mountain Bike Holidays across Europe Since the 04th July 2020. With destinations in Morzine in the French Alps and Finale Ligure in Italy we have kept up to date with all of the latest rules and regulations in each resort. Only working with our best and trusted suppliers who maintain a high level of service like us we have been able to create a fantastic, as normal as possible experience.

You experience will be different but ultimately we believe you will feel safe and able to enjoy your holiday and every element of it as you always would. Our staff have been trained up and are very well informed in all aspects. Masks and table service is now almost compulsory in all destinations but this feels safer and once you accept it is more relaxing that queueing at the bar. See our Stay safe in resort guide here also.

Please see our Coronavirus Holiday Advice page here for the most up to date information.

How will you keep us as safe as possible in resort

Unfortunately we have been operating under the Covid-19 restrictions for some time now. We have implemented as many precautions as possible in our accommodations including separate breakfast table service rather than buffet, automatic hand sanitisers, free face masks, no mixed rooms and we have also reduced the price of our single supplement room options. Cleaning schedules have increased and daily rotors for specific high use areas put in place.

We have also added many precautions to our additional mountain bike holiday experiences including our Day trips, Bike Hire options. These include screens in our transfer and day trip vehicles and no clients in the front with drivers. Our mechanic service is now a tagged and labelled service with cleaning or grips and high contact points always carried out.
