Absolutely brilliant experience. The accommodation (Ravenscraig guest house) and food was spot on for both quality and the location. Bike security and facilities for wash and repair was excellent. Our guide, Mike Wilkes couldn’t have done a better job of informing and including all the riders in our group. The routes ticked all the boxes and the trails and views will be memories to last a lifetime. Bought the ticket, had a great ride😁👍

Fantastic week of riding in Finale Ligure. Top class guiding, excellent hosting, nothing was too much trouble for the MTB Beds team. Will definitely use again.

Our Slovenia Black Hole Enduro Tour is something truly unique. During the tour, you will ride deep underground in one of Europe's largest abandoned lead mines, tackle one of the longest flow trails in the world at Petzen Bike Park and descend razor-thin ridgelines between Slovenia and Austria. You will be based at the Single trail park Jamnica, twice host of the EWS events, with trails on your doorstep.

What's included

  • Ecohotel twin/double room accommodation
  • All breakfasts and dinners
  • 5 day guided tour inc Black Hole Trail
  • 1 day Petzen trail park ticket
  • 1 half-day bike park Poseka trail ticket

Petzen MTB trail

The riding on this tour is truly bucket list, from flat out loam trails, chunky rock gardens, endless flow and jump lines to EWS trails and secret bike parks, let alone 400m underground in an abandoned mine. Slovenia is steeped in history, wild landscapes and amazing experiences. Join us in Slovenia for an MTB experience like no other. See below for the Program & Sample Itinerary.

Not Included

  • Lunches
  • Drinks
  • Bike Hire
  • 1 x MTB Zip Line on Olimpline - Optional based on whole group decision

Anej, your host and one of the guides for the week, knows this destination better than anyone. He hosted the EWS events, built the Black Hole trails and knows every man and his dog in the surrounding area. If there is a trail worth riding, he will take you there. The local culture, food and hospitality are amazing. Food and beer are cheap and of great quality. Slovenia provides something different from the Alps or the Mediterranean riding most are accustomed to. It's a firm favourite of Atlas Ride Co and needs to be seen to be believed. See below for the Program & Sample Itinerary.

The Program & Sample Itinerary

Based on the following itinerary, which is subject to change with weather and trail conditions, and flying from London into Ljubljana, we see the tour working like this.

Day 1 - Arrive at the Accommodation and set the bikes up, beer, dinner and chat about the week ahead.

Day 2 – Jamnica Single Trails - (Enduro World Series Location)

  • We kick things off with a quick info session to cover the ride plan and local terrain, then it’s time to hit the dirt.
  • Today’s ride takes us through the Jamnica Single Trail Park—a network of trails rolling through panoramic hills right above our base. Expect a fun mix of flowy forest singletrack, roots, rocks and some tech for good measure. You are straight into the action but nothing to crazy here.
  • Midday, we’ll roll into a local tourist farm for a laid-back lunch with some regional bites (and probably a few cold drinks). After that, a shuttle and small climb sets us up for a smooth, rewarding descent right back to base.
  • Trails are designed to keep it fun—nothing too techy today, just a good rhythm to ease in and enjoy the ride.

Day 3 – The Ridge Rides of Geopark Karawanke - (Enduro World Series Location)

  • Get ready for a big one. After breakfast, we hop on a morning shuttle to Podpeca, the gateway to some of the best ridgeline riding in the region. This area was once the domain of miners, farmers, and hunters—now it's a playground of hand-built singletrack, shaped from old paths and tracks.
  • A short forest climb and some mellow cart-track pedalling gets us to the start of our main descent, a legendary ridge-line trail that flows and winds its way across the Geopark Karawanke. Expect a mix of flowy sections, punchy climbs, and long descents that drop us deep into the valley.
  • We’ll ride through terrain shaped by the area’s geological diversity, with EWS race stages blending into lesser-known gems. The views from the ridge are jaw-dropping, and the riding is pure fun—technical in spots, fast in others, and always engaging.
  • This is classic enduro-style riding: up, down, and all-in. A day to remember.

Day 4 - MTB Zone Bike Park Petzen

  • Today we head to MTB Zone Bike Park Petzen—home to one of the longest flow trails in Europe. The Petzen Flow Trail is a must-ride: over 11 km of machine-built, buttery-smooth berms and rollers, perfect for getting in that endless grin-mode.
  • But if you’re craving more challenge, no worries—"Thriller" and the EWS Trail serve up a spicy mix of tech, roots, and steep sections that’ll test your skills and line choice. These trails have hosted the Enduro World Series, so you know you're in for some serious terrain.
  • If the cable car isn’t running (common in early May or late October), we’ve got you covered. We’ll run shuttles as high as possible, so you still get the gravity-fed goodness with minimal pedaling.
  • Whether you're into high-speed flow or rugged technical lines, Petzen delivers the goods.

Day 5 – Free Ride Day or Chill Loops in Jamnica Single Trail Park

  • Today’s your call—take a rest day, explore the region at your own pace, or get back on the bike for another round in the Jamnica Single Trail Park, right outside the hotel door.
  • Jamnica isn’t your typical bike park—it’s a natural trail bike playground, designed for all-mountain and enduro riders who love flow with a side of wilderness. The trails wind through forests, meadows, and ridgelines, offering a mix of easy-going flow and more techy, rooty lines depending on what you’re in the mood for.
  • Everything is pedal-accessed via mellow climbs, and with Ecohotel Koroš right in the center of the trail network, you can roll out (or back in) whenever you want. Whether you’re dialing in bike setup, getting in bonus laps, or just soaking up the scenery, this day is yours to ride (or relax) however you want.

Day 6 – Black Hole Trail & EWS Descent in Mežica

  • Today’s ride is unlike anything else on Earth—we’re going underground.
  • We start with the legendary Black Hole Trail, an epic MTB descent through the abandoned tunnels of the old lead and zinc mine beneath Mežica. These tunnels hadn’t seen human footsteps for over 25 years before the trail was built. Now, they’re home to one of the most unique and thrilling MTB lines in Europe.
  • The trail drops through five mine levels, descending roughly 150 vertical meters inside massive, echoing chambers that once stored tonnes of ore. It’s a surreal mix of tight tech, eerie silence, and sudden flowy sections where you can catch your breath and take in the ghostly views of the "black hole."
  • Designed for experienced riders, the trail is technical and challenging, some sections you must walk or climb down. It's all part of the experience.
  • In the afternoon, we’ll hit another trail in the Mežica area, rounding out the day with a proper above-ground enduro-style finish, blending natural singletrack and more EWS terrain.
  • This day is raw, gritty, and unforgettable—a true highlight for any adventurous rider.

Day 7 – Hills of Strojna & Bike Park Poseka

  • We wrap up the week with a perfect blend of natural trails and bike park flow, riding through the forested hills of Strojna and finishing with laps at Bike Park Poseka.
  • The day starts in the Strojna massif, a vast plateau nestled between the Drava and Meža rivers. This region—partly overlapping with Jamnica—is dotted with remote farms and centuries-old paths that now form a web of hidden, flowing singletrack. Expect quiet woods, rolling terrain, and plenty of playful sections as we cruise through this lesser-known MTB gem.
  • In the afternoon, we shift gears to Bike Park Poseka—a compact, welcoming park in the heart of Carinthia. With 5 marked trails, Poseka caters to all rider levels—from beginners to seasoned shredders—offering smooth flow lines, technical sections, and progression-friendly features.
  • Whether you're chasing one last adrenaline rush or just soaking in the final ride vibes, Day 7 is all about variety, fun, and making it count.
