Frequently asked questions
Are all Atlas Ride Co holidays guided?
No. Some holidays include fully guided riding every day, while others are accommodation-only, self-guided or offer optional guiding and coaching. Each destination page clearly explains what's included.
Are your holidays suitable all year round?
Most of our mountain bike holidays operate between late spring and early autumn, depending on local lift opening dates, weather and trail conditions. Our destinations span multiple countries and climates, allowing us to offer fantastic riding opportunities across much of the mountain biking season.
Can I book as a solo rider?
Absolutely. Many of our tours welcome solo travellers and they're a great way to meet like-minded riders from around the world. Some specialist tours require minimum numbers to operate, but we'll always discuss the available options with you before departure.
Can I combine multiple destinations into one trip?
Yes. Many riders combine destinations such as Morzine and Finale Ligure, or add extra riding before or after their guided holiday. If you're planning a longer European mountain bike trip, our team can help you create a bespoke itinerary.
Can non-riders join the holidays?
In many destinations, yes. Places like Morzine, Tuscany, Whistler and Finale Ligure offer plenty of activities for partners and families including hiking, beaches, lakes, sightseeing, spas, restaurants and shopping.
Can private groups book exclusive tours?
Yes. Private groups are one of our specialities. Whether you're organising a riding trip with friends, a club holiday or a corporate event, we can often customise dates, accommodation and riding programmes to suit your group.
Do I need to be super fit?
Not necessarily. We offer holidays ranging from lift-assisted bike park weeks through to physically demanding alpine adventures. Every tour includes guidance on the recommended fitness and riding ability so you can choose the right trip.
Do you cater for families?
Yes. Morzine is particularly popular with families thanks to its beginner-friendly trails, lift system, swimming lakes, adventure parks and excellent atmosphere. We also offer accommodation suitable for families and mixed-ability groups.
Do you offer catered mountain bike holidays?
Yes. Many of our most popular holidays include breakfast, evening meals and selected lunches, allowing you to focus entirely on riding rather than cooking.
Do you offer holidays outside Europe?
Yes. Our flagship overseas destination is Whistler, Canada, combining the legendary Whistler Bike Park with guided riding in Squamish and Pemberton.
Do you offer self-catered holidays?
Yes. Alongside our guided tours, we offer a range of self-catered apartments and chalets, particularly in Morzine, allowing you to build your own perfect riding holiday.
Do you run ladies-only mountain bike holidays?
Yes. We offer dedicated women's coaching camps and ladies' MTB holidays led by experienced female coaches in supportive, relaxed environments.
How do I choose the right Atlas Ride Co holiday?
The best holiday depends on the type of riding you enjoy. If you love bike parks and downhill laps, start with Morzine or Whistler. If natural enduro is your thing, look at Finale Ligure, Molini or Aosta Valley. If you're after a true mountain adventure, explore the Pyrenees, Tour du Mont Blanc or Black Hole Enduro.
