Turbo Levo 29er - 840 watts | 25kph | 101nm Torque | 4 x Rider Input

Specialized designed the Turbo Levo to be a proper trail bike, first and foremost. It takes geo, kinematics, and design cues from their newest trail bikes, like the Stumpjumper, and adds industry-leading tech that gives you the power to ride more trails. New motor? Check. New battery? Check, Incredibly lightweight and capable chassis? Check and double-check.

The Turbo Levo delivers up to 5 hours of ride time. What’s more, the Smart Control feature in the Mission Control app can automatically manage the Turbo Levo’s assist level to ensure you’ll have enough power to ride as far, or for as long, as you like. Bottom line—you don’t need to worry about getting caught on the trail without enough juice to get you home.

Frequently asked questions

Am I responsible for the battery if something happens to it?

Yes - as with the e-bikes themselves, you're responsible for any damage caused to a hired battery, or if it's lost or stolen during your hire period, so it's worth treating it with the same care you would your own kit.

Can I bring my own e-MTB and just hire a battery instead?

Yes - we run a separate battery hire service using 700Wh Specialized batteries (M2 and M3 models), which are compatible with Turbo Levo and Kenevo Gen 2 and Gen 3 e-bikes. It's a popular option for guests who own their own e-bike but can't bring the battery with them.

Can I charge the e-bike battery safely in my chalet?

Yes, but treat it like any lithium battery - always use the proper charger, avoid leaving it charging unattended overnight or while you're out riding, and let the battery cool down after a hot day's riding before plugging it back in. If you're ever unsure, ask your chalet host, as they'll be used to helping guests charge e-bike batteries safely throughout the season.

Can I hire an e-bike for just a day if I only want to try one out?

Our standard pricing starts at 2 days, so it's built more around riders who know they want e-assist for a chunk of their trip rather than a single trial day. If you're only after a one-off go on an e-MTB, it's worth asking our team directly, as we may be able to help depending on availability that week.

Do I need insurance to hire an e-MTB?

Yes, insurance is mandatory for anyone hiring one of our e-bikes, either through your holiday insurance or a bike-specific policy, and you're responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear. We'd recommend Yellow Jersey Cycle Insurance if you don't already have cover sorted - use the code MTB75 and you'll get 15% off.

Does hiring an e-bike from Atlas mean I can ride the lifts in the Portes du Soleil?

Your e-bike hire and your lift pass are two separate things - the Turbo Levo works perfectly well on lift-served bike park trails as well as pedal-up natural riding, but you'll still need to sort your own Portes du Soleil lift pass alongside it. Get in touch with us if you want help working out the best combination for your trip.

How do I book a battery hire in advance?

Battery hire is first-come, first-served, so we'd recommend booking ahead rather than assuming one will be available on arrival. You'll need to give us your accommodation name, lead booker's name, your bike's size, and your travel dates, along with a 25% deposit to secure it - the balance is payable by card, bank transfer or cash when you collect.

How much does battery-only hire cost?

For Atlas Riders Week clients, battery hire is included free of charge, and it's a small additional fee for guests in our self-catered or partner accommodation. For anyone hiring a battery who isn't staying with Atlas Ride Co, standard rates are £20 for a day, £100 for a full week, and £10 for each extra day beyond that.

How much does e-bike hire cost in Morzine?

Atlas Ride Co e-MTB hire prices start at £160 for 2 days, rising to £235 for 3 days, £310 for 4 days, £385 for 5 days, and £450 for a full week - with each extra day beyond that at £60. It's worth booking the longer package if you know you'll want the bike most of your trip, as the per-day cost drops noticeably the longer you hire.

Is the Turbo Levo suitable for less experienced riders, or is it aimed at experts?

It's built as a genuine trail bike rather than a beginner-specific machine, so you'll want to be reasonably comfortable on a mountain bike to get the most from it, but the assist takes a huge amount of the effort out of the climbs, which is exactly where less experienced riders often struggle most in the Alps. If you're unsure whether it's the right fit for your ability, our team can talk you through it before you commit to a hire.

Is there a weight or height limit on hiring an e-MTB?

We don't set a strict age, height or weight limit on e-bike hire, but if you've got any concerns about fit or suitability, get in touch with us before you book and we'll talk it through so you're on the right size bike for your trip.

What are the motor and battery specs on the hire bikes?

The Turbo Levo runs an 840 watt motor with 101Nm of torque and four rider input modes, plus Specialized's Smart Control system, which automatically manages how much assist you're getting based on the terrain and how far you've got left on the battery. On a full charge you're looking at up to 5 hours of ride time, though that varies a fair bit depending on which mode you're riding in and how much climbing you're doing.

What do I need to provide to book an e-bike, and is there a deposit?

We ask for a 30% deposit to secure your e-bike booking, with the remaining balance due when you collect it in resort. At collection you'll need to show ID and proof of address, and we'll hold your card details for the duration of the hire, which is standard practice for e-bike rental given the value of the bikes.

What e-mountain bike do you hire out in Morzine?

We run the Specialized Turbo Levo 29er with 150mm travel front and rear - a proper trail bike first and foremost, built on geometry taken straight from the Stumpjumper, rather than a watered-down "just for climbing" e-bike. It's the one bike in our fleet that genuinely rides like a normal enduro machine once you're pointed downhill, the motor just means you get a lot more laps in.

What happens if I damage the bike while I've got it?

Fair wear and tear is expected and not something you'll be charged for, but anything beyond that - a cracked frame, bent wheel, damaged suspension and so on - is the renter's responsibility to cover, which is exactly why proper insurance matters before you head out on the trails. It's a genuinely capable bike and we want you riding it properly, not worrying about every rock garden.

What if something goes wrong with the bike or battery mid-holiday?

Get in touch with our shop as soon as anything feels off, whether that's a mechanical issue with the bike or a battery that's not holding charge the way it should. We'd always rather sort a problem for you during your stay than have you ride out the week on a bike that isn't performing properly.

What's included in the price, and what costs extra?

Helmets are included free of charge with every e-bike hire. Full knee, arm and body protection is available for €10 per item, and Five Ten Impact Pro riding shoes can be added for €20 a pair, so it's worth deciding in advance whether you're bringing your own protective kit or picking it up from us.

What's the Smart Control feature actually do?

It automatically adjusts how much motor assistance you're getting in real time, based on the terrain you're riding and how much battery you've got left, so you're not constantly flicking through modes yourself. It's designed to help you get the most range out of a single charge without you having to think about battery management while you're out on the trails.

Where can I hire an e-bike battery - is it just Morzine?

Battery hire is available in Morzine all year round, and also in Finale Ligure during spring and autumn if you're riding out there instead. Worth bearing in mind if your season spans more than one of our destinations.

Who's eligible to hire an e-bike through Atlas Ride Co?

E-bike hire is available to guests staying in Atlas Ride Co accommodation - it's not a walk-in service for anyone passing through Morzine. If you're booking a chalet or apartment with us, just let us know you'd like an e-MTB alongside it and we'll sort the hire for your stay.

Why would I need to hire a battery rather than just bringing my own?

Airlines don't allow lithium-ion batteries over 100 watt-hours in carry-on luggage, and modern e-bike batteries are usually well over that limit, so your own battery simply can't fly with you. If you're bringing your own e-MTB frame out to Morzine, hiring a compatible battery here is the practical way round that restriction.
